Peterson Instrument Company is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to help support its ever-expanding order book of CAN bus automotive instrument products.
Peterson Instrument Company designs analogue CAN bus instruments for the automotive industry, with products and solutions for Restomods, Electric Vehicles, and Classic Cars. Our innovative instruments interface with virtually any ECU, PDM/PDU, or Electric Vehicle system, providing smooth and precise readouts of vehicle parameters.
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. You will play a key role in developing innovative dashboard solutions from concept through to production.

Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and additive manufacturing).
- Knowledge of materials selection and mechanical system design.
- Hands-on approach, comfortable assembling and testing designs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
