Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Training schedule

Training will be delivered in partnership with Rochdale Training Association (RTA).

Year 1:
You will complete your NVQ Level 2 through a structured block release engineering programme, spending most of your time at RTA developing core engineering skills and knowledge.

Years 2–3:
You will progress onto NVQ Level 3, primarily based at NEMA with one day per week at college. During this stage, you will rotate through departments across the workshop, gaining broad exposure to machining, winding, assembly, testing, and inspection.

A key milestone will be producing a complete electric motor assembly and its constituent components from scratch, giving you a full understanding of the entire manufacturing process.

Subject to performance and attainment, NEMA may fully fund progression to Level 4 and beyond.
