Role Overview
We are currently recruiting to support radome design & development for current and future projects within the Microwave Design Team at the Parker Meggitt site in Stevenage.

As an experienced Antenna & Electromagnetic Engineer, reporting to the Microwave Design Team Lead, you will:
- Work within a small, specialist team designing, simulating, analysing, and testing radomes and enclosed antennas for diverse platforms.
- Identify emerging technologies, manage research activities, and develop product specifications.
- Lead RF design, analysis, and participate in qualification testing for new products.
This position offers an opportunity to expand expertise in Electromagnetics and Antenna engineering through formal and on-site training, helping you master new concepts and refine existing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Deliverables
- Conduct EM technology scanning and opportunity development, including managing emerging technology research.
- Support new business opportunities with technical expertise.
- Define system and RF requirements from high-level specifications.
- Perform radome and antenna RF design, simulations, and performance tests.
- Offer ongoing technical support for legacy products in response to customer queries.
- Serve as the lead engineer on selected new product designs.
- Compile and present technical reports and findings for internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s or higher degree in electrical, electronics, antenna engineering, or physics.
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in RF and antenna product design.
- Demonstrated expertise in antennas and radomes (particularly within aerospace/defence).
- Proven proficiency across RF designs (2–40 GHz range).
- Strong mastery of full-wave simulation tools such as CST Microwave Studio/Ansys HFSS.
- Skilled in MATLAB programming for design validation.
- “Hands-on” experience ensuring qualification and product acceptance testing.
- Collaborative spirit, clear communication, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
