Electronic Design Engineer
Location: Torquay, Devon (On-Site)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Job Type: Full Time | 37.5 hours per week
Are you an experienced Electronic Design Engineer looking for an opportunity to work on innovative electronic products from concept through to production?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing engineering team in Torquay, Devon, where you'll play a key role in the design and development of cutting-edge electronics. This is a fully on-site position, offering the chance to work closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering team throughout the complete product development lifecycle.
The Electronic Design Engineer will be responsible for:
- Designing multilayer PCB layouts for new and existing electronic products
- Developing mixed-signal analogue and digital circuit designs
- Supporting the full electronics development lifecycle from concept through to manufacture
- Developing embedded firmware using Python, C++ or Java
- Testing, debugging and validating hardware and firmware designs
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation
- Working alongside software and mechanical engineers to integrate electronics into complete systems
- Supporting continuous improvement and new product development activities

To be successful in this Electronic Design Engineer role, you should have:
- Strong PCB layout and electronic hardware design experience
- Experience with mixed-signal analogue and digital circuit design
- Embedded firmware development experience using Python, C++ or Java
- Experience across the full electronics development lifecycle
- Excellent fault-finding, testing and debugging skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
