Electronics Design Engineer – Specialised Engineering Role

About the Role

We’re supporting an established engineering manufacturer specialising in innovative electronic systems for a highly regulated sector. Due to ongoing growth, they’re seeking to expand their development team with a key Electronics Design Engineer.

This role is hands-on, covering:

  • Design and development of analogue and digital electronic systems
  • PCB layout and embedded systems
  • Product improvement projects You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, industry-standard products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead schematic capture and PCB design using modern tools (specific to Altium)
  • Develop embedded systems with a focus on reliability
  • Contribute to full product lifecycle – from concept through to validation and testing
  • Ensure designs meet strict industry regulatory and performance standards
  • Support cross-functional projects, bridging electronics and engineering teams

Requirements

To apply, you’ll need:

  • Proven experience as an Electronics Design Engineer (or equivalent)
  • Strong Altium Designer proficiency (schematic capture & PCB layout)
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • Analogue and digital electronics
    • Embedded systems development
  • Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering (or related discipline)—preferred
  • Legal right to work in the UK (no sponsorship required)
  • Clean, organised mindset to manage complex design challenges
