Electronic Design Engineer

Location: Worcestershire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive

We are looking for an Electronic Design Engineer to join our client's growing engineering team, developing innovative electronic systems and products. You will be involved in the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, validation, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design analogue and digital electronic circuits and PCB layouts.
  • Develop, test, and validate electronic hardware for rail applications.
  • Produce technical documentation, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Investigate and resolve design issues during development and production.
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant rail, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in electronic circuit and PCB design.
  • Proficiency with electronic CAD software (e.g. Altium).
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Experience within the rail industry, embedded systems, EMC, or safety-critical electronic design.
