Electronic Designer - Berkshire - up to £50,000 + Benefits - REF 2031

About the Role

I am currently recruiting a Electronic Designer to work for a leading engineering organisation based in Berkshire. The Electronic Designer role offers a salary of up to £50,000 + Benefits.

The organisation is highly respected for its engineering excellence and was established over 70 years ago, boasting an impressive heritage. Engaging in cutting-edge projects, they push the boundaries of technology, delivering innovative solutions to address industry challenges that many competitors face. consequently, they employ some of the most skilled engineers in the business.

To support the organisation’s growth and growing workload, they seek to appoint a permanent Electronic Designer.

Responsibilities

In this role, the Electronic Designer will:

  • Design and develop products
  • Take projects through concept to manufacture
  • Primarily work on digital and analogue electronics for various projects, with a significant focus on IoT-focused developments
  • Collaborate closely with a team of Electronics Design Engineers
  • Liaise with a multi-disciplined department

Essential Requirements

  • At least 4 years' experience as an Electronic Designer or in a similar role
  • Proven expertise in digital and analogue electronics
  • Experience with PCB Design and schematic capture, ideally using Altium

Desirable Requirements

Experience in the following would be highly beneficial:

  • IoT devices
  • Security clearance (e.g., SC clearance)
  • EMC/EMI
  • Protocols and interfaces including Ethernet, UART, I2C, SPI, LINbus or CANbus
  • Experience working with AC/DC and DC/DC conversion
  • Integration of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) electronics into bespoke products and systems
  • Wi-Fi or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) modules
  • CE certification
  • FCC certification
  • Adherence to IPC2221B or similar PCB design standards
  • Knowledge of Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU) (RED) testing
