Electronic Engineer - Production & Manufacturing Support

Location: Harrogate
Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE

The Opportunity

Are you an engineer with an electronics background who thrives on the production floor, working hands-on to get products from prototype into reliable, high-volume manufacture?

Our client is a market-leading IoT technology company developing innovative electronic products for global markets. They're looking for a hands-on engineer to lead product introduction into manufacturing, drive continuous improvement on the production line, and act as the technical bridge between design, manufacturing, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up activities, working closely with manufacturing teams to bring products from prototype to volume build.
  • Partner day-to-day with production operators, line leaders, and manufacturing engineers to resolve build issues and keep output flowing.
  • Work with external suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure products are optimised for volume manufacture.
  • Drive Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) improvements, feeding practical, production-floor insight back into product design.
  • Develop and maintain test equipment, fixtures, and verification procedures used in production.
  • Carry out fault finding and root cause analysis on production issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support quality, reliability, and cost-reduction initiatives across the manufacturing process.
  • Provide light-touch electronics support (analogue/digital circuits, PCB-level troubleshooting) as needed to resolve production issues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
