Our client, a leading manufacturer of products for highly regulated industries including Marine, Medical, and more, are looking for an Electronic Engineer based in Newark to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an office-based role supporting the development of innovative control panel and interface technologies for blue-chip customers across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities of the Electronic Engineer job based in Newark:

  • Support the design, development and testing of electronic hardware products.
  • Manage and implement hardware design changes driven by cost, obsolescence, or performance improvements.
  • Prepare technical specifications, reports, and documentation to a high professional standard.
  • Perform fault finding and debugging of electronic devices.
  • Conduct quality and reliability analysis (e.g., MTBF).
  • Support EMC testing and wider electrical validation activities.
  • Work closely with production and production engineering teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.
  • Provide guidance and support to technicians and junior team members.
  • Identify and manage technical risks and issues throughout the product lifecycle.

Experience required for the Electronic Engineer job based in Newark:

  • Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar.
  • Experience in an electronics design or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience designing analogue and digital circuits using tools such as Altium Designer.
  • Strong understanding of EMC design and compliance testing.
  • Experience with digital communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, USB).
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C/C#) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE) would be advantageous.
