The Role
Electronic Flight Bag Administrator
Location: Flight Operations, Waterside head office
As a member of the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) team, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge technology used daily by our Flight Crew. Your responsibilities include:
- Managing a diverse range of EFB systems across the British Airways fleet.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Influencing the future direction of EFB development.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for addressing EFB issues, ensuring flight crew have the tools needed for safe and efficient operations.

What You’ll Do
The EFB Administrator is accountable for:
- The safe, secure, and efficient operation of portable and installed EFB’s across the fleet.
- Producing accurate, detailed documentation while maintaining strict attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborating with internal (IT, Engineering, CAA) and external stakeholders (system vendors, flight crew).
- Overseeing ongoing improvement and system enhancement.
What You’ll Bring to British Airways
Key Traits and Skills
- Creativity, curiosity, and a growing understanding of aviation & Flight Operations.
- Experience working in an operational environment.
- Recognises the safety-critical and operational significance of this role.
- Proficient in MS Excel (reporting, data manipulation).
- Highly proficient in MS Word.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and PDF manipulation.
- Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (preferably Jamf).
- Strong IT skills including Windows, iOS/iPadOS.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 applications, including Power Platform.
Experience Requirements
- Degree-level education or equivalent, or significant relevant airline operational experience.
- In-depth knowledge of UK Air Ops regulations.
- Prior experience administrating an EFB solution.
- Eligible to hold a UK airside pass and UK airside driving permit.
- Jamf 100+ certification (optional but desirable).
