Electronics Team Leader
Electronics Team Leader will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working.
The salary for this role is up to £67k, depending on experience.
What you'll be doing
- Lead electrical and electronic design and development across the full product lifecycle, ensuring delivery to cost, time, and quality. Provide technical expertise on analogue/digital circuits, PCB design, and electro-mechanical systems while supporting product manufacturing, installation, and service life.
- Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing. Contribute to company standards, bid preparation, and proposals. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and customers to ensure compliance with requirements, V&V processes, and industry standards.
- Undertake line management duties, including resource allocation, recruitment support, and team development. Ensure team welfare, tools, and safety compliance. Promote excellence, implement new processes, and empower team members to grow while maintaining environmental, health, and safety responsibilities.

The skills you need
- Full Lifecycle EE Design Expertise – Analogue/digital circuit design, PCB layout (Altium), and electro-mechanical systems
- Leadership & Team Management – Ability to lead, mentor, and allocate resources effectively
- Requirements & Standards Knowledge – Strong understanding of V&V, configuration management, and IPC/industry standards
- Bid & Proposal Experience – Ability to generate engineering estimates and interface with customers/suppliers
- Process Improvement Mindset – Contribute to new processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent Communication & Collaboration – Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional teamwork
