Location: Guildford Salary: £40,000 – £65,000 Working Model: Full-time, onsite
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading organisation delivering advanced technology solutions across the defence and national security sector.
Working on cutting-edge electronic systems, you'll play a key role in developing innovative products used in some of the most technically demanding environments.
This position offers the chance to be involved throughout the full product lifecycle, from:
- Initial concept and design
- Through to testing, manufacture, and ongoing support
You'll collaborate with experienced engineers across multiple disciplines while working on complex projects that leverage the latest technologies.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll contribute to the design, development, and support of electronics in high-stakes environments, with a focus on areas such as:
- RF and analogue PCB design, including:
- Amplifiers
- Filters
- Mixers
- Microwave technologies
- High-speed digital electronics, including:
- FPGA
- SoC
- ADC and DAC-based designs
- PCB circuit design and layout
- System or circuit modelling using tools such as:
- SPICE
- MATLAB
- CST
- Python
- Ensuring designs are reliable for harsh and demanding operating environments

Requirements & Skills
Ideal Candidates
Apply at any of the following levels:
- Junior, Mid, or Senior Electronics Design Engineer
- Interest or experience in electronic systems design, particularly in:
- Defence/aerospace security applications
- RF/microwave technology
- High-speed digital and mixed-signal system design
- Product lifecycle management from conception to post-development

Technical Expertise
- Strong background (or keen interest) in:
- PCB design, prototyping, and verification
- Simulation and modelling tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB, CST)
- Digital or electronic systems design, including embedded logic and component specification
- Proven ability in problem-solving, with attention to detail and adaptable to complex challenges
- Passion for engineering and technology, with drive to innovate
