This permanent position is based in Worthing, West Sussex, offering a competitive salary of up to £80,000, depending on experience, plus an excellent bonus scheme and benefits package.
Role Overview
As the Electronics Design Engineering Manager, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design, development, and introduction of innovative high-voltage electronic products. You'll provide both technical and people leadership, ensuring projects are delivered from concept through to production while maintaining the highest standards of engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team in the design, development, and introduction of innovative high-voltage electronic products.
- Provide technical and people leadership, ensuring projects are delivered from concept through to production.
- Oversee the full product development lifecycle, supporting analogue circuit design, design reviews, verification and validation activities.
- Ensure products are designed for manufacture, reliability, and performance.
- Work closely with the Chief Engineer to guide engineers through complex design challenges while fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Translate technical requirements into robust engineering solutions by working closely with customers, commercial teams, and manufacturing.
- Responsible for engineering resource planning, project delivery, technical governance, and mentoring the next generation of design engineers.
- Build a culture of innovation and engineering excellence.

Requirements
- Proven experience leading an Electronics Design Engineering team.
- Extensive experience designing analogue electronic circuits.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage power supply design.
- Experience delivering products through the full New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of design verification, validation, and Design for Manufacture (DFM).
- Experience with control loop design, stability analysis, and power supply optimization.
- Ability to lead technical design reviews and mentor engineers through complex design challenges.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with customers, commercial teams, and manufacturing.
- A degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
