Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electronics Engineer role based in Inverurie. The Electronics Engineer will design, develop, and maintain electronic and control systems for rotating equipment, instrumentation, protection systems, and condition monitoring solutions used in energy and oil & gas assets. The role involves collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure reliable operation, supporting inspections and repairs, preparing technical documentation, and providing input to maintenance and reliability strategies.
Qualifications
- Strong foundations in Electronic Engineering and Electronics applied to industrial control and instrumentation.
- Skills in Circuit Design and related schematic/layout tools for developing and modifying electronic systems.
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to power supplies, interfaces, and protection systems.
- Experience in Testing, including diagnostic troubleshooting, verification, validation, and test documentation.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in energy, oil & gas, or industrial automation environments, including control systems and rotating equipment, is highly beneficial.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and to produce clear reports and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work safely in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and with client stakeholders.
