Hybrid/On Site Role: 4 days per week minimum in the Cambridge area office and ability to be on site when needed

Salary (multiple positions available): between £55,000 and £75,000 Base + Benefits + Bonus dependent on seniority and background

Overview:

My client, a key player in the Defence industry, is looking to hire multiple Electronics Engineers (junior to senior level) to join a dynamic R&D team, building and enhancing products that are essential for the UK Defence industry.

Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing and support of electronics hardware used across the firm’s next-generation Electronics Defence products.
  • You will work both autonomously and with multiple project teams to design and develop electronic circuits and assemblies, produce schematics and PCB layout guidance, support the development of analogue, digital, power, video and embedded electronics and much more.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong background (both hands-on and educational) in Electronics Engineering, designing electronic hardware and circuit boards in relation to high-performance products within R&D.
  • Hardware design skills (how are chips positioned on a circuit board?) – Altium experience beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of analogue and digital circuit design.
  • Solid experience with schematic capture and PCB design processes.
  • Ability to de-bug complex electronic systems at board and system level.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers and sensor integration.
  • Any exposure to thermal imaging systems or similar highly regarded.
  • Any exposure to video interfaces (MIPI, LVDS, Ethernet etc) highly regarded.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Desire to join a dynamic, growth organisation at the forefront of its field.
