We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to support the design, simulation, development, and testing of a suite of power electronics PCBs. The role will involve delivering eight PCB designs comprising AC-DC converters, DC-DC converters, and backplane interface boards through the full product development lifecycle, from schematic capture and simulation through to prototype testing and production-ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design a total of eight PCBs, including:
    • Six power conversion PCBs (three AC-DC and three DC-DC).
    • Two backplane interface PCBs.
  • Design power conversion circuits incorporating input filters, power conversion stages, and output filters.
  • Develop schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
  • Select appropriate electronic components and create component footprints where required.
  • Maintain component libraries and add new parts to the CW database and Costpoint.
  • Generate manufacturing documentation, including Output Job files.
  • Develop and run circuit simulations using LTspice, including filter and power conversion stage analysis.
  • Analyse simulation results and make recommendations to optimise circuit performance.
  • Produce supporting engineering calculations using Mathcad where required.
  • Support prototype build activities and undertake electrical testing to validate design performance.
    • Document test results and provide recommendations for design improvements to the Technical Lead.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including Production Test Specifications (PTS), Module Detailed Descriptions (MDDs), and other engineering documentation as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
