The Role: Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Engineer to design, test, and develop key hardware components for our cybersecurity products.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the Hardware Security (HardSec) team, you’ll:

  • Requirements Gathering – Research and select appropriate electronic components.
  • PCB Design – Specify, schematic-design, and lay out complex circuit boards using Altium Designer.
  • Product Lifecycle Management – Manage PCB, mechanical, and system-level designs through lifecycle tools.
  • Hardware Testing & Debugging – Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters) to test and troubleshoot hardware.
  • Product Integration – Collaborate with engineers to integrate electronics within enclosures/chassis.
  • Performance Validation – Assess operational performance under thermal/vibrational stress.
  • Compliance & Certification – Assist in hardware compliance procedures for new products.
  • Manufacturing Readiness – Partner with production teams for efficient mass-manufacturing transitions.
  • Location Flexibility – Hybrid working (minimum 2 days/week in London Office).

Qualifications & Experience

Required Technical Background

  • Master’s degree in electronic engineering or related field.
  • Practical experience with:
    • Digital electronic systems design.
    • PCB schematic entry and layout (multi-layer, microvias, controlled impedance routing).
    • Component selection, embedded systems interaction.
    • Debugging of electronic circuits.
    • Designing for switch-mode power supplies, FPGAs, and embedded processors.

Preferred Skills

  • Programming experience (e.g. C, Python).
  • FPGA-related programming (e.g. VHDL).

Compensation & Benefits

This role offers a base salary range of £43,700–£51,100 GBP, with bonus plans, flexible time off, a retirement savings match (401k), and generous healthcare coverage.
