What It’s Like Working Here
You’ll spend your days at the Siemens Motion Control division in Congleton, UK, developing SINAMICS G products.
Flexible Onsite Schedule
You’ll typically be onsite at least 3 days per week, with:
- More onsite days during critical phases (e.g., testing)
- Recommended 4-5 days per week for interns to maximise experience

Responsibilities
As an Early Career Intern, you’ll:
- Design and develop SINAMICS G products and their options
- Provide engineering lifespan support (from concept to market)
- Work in cross-functional product development teams
- Contribute to product specs, development plans, and testing
- Design electronic and power circuits
- Support high-volume manufacturing, focusing on cost-efficiency
- Test and simulate designs for quality assurance
- Assist with product approvals (e.g., UL certification)
- Test and support global manufacturing networks with minimal disruption
Requirements
We embrace diverse talents and backgrounds! Apply if you:
- Are a recent Electrical/Electronic Engineering graduate (or equivalent) looking to kickstart your professional path
- Possess strong communication skills and can confidently share ideas & take constructive feedback
- Bring curiosity, motivation, and a hunger to learn
Having experience with the following will strengthen your application:
- ECAD, SPICE simulation, or MATLAB
- Familiarity with electronics lab equipment
- Basics of power electronics
