We are looking for an Electronics Systems Design Engineer. The successful candidate will be working on developing cutting edge imaging technology for science, industrial and space applications. It is very interesting, challenging work and will see the successful candidate’s work being integrated into instruments around the world (and in space) performing ground-breaking science and supporting high value manufacturing.

Tasks And Responsibilities

This role requires an Electronic Systems Design Engineer with a proven electronics design background. The successful candidate must show that they can get up to speed quickly, be comfortable working on more than one project simultaneously, and to short and tight deadlines. In this role you will be responsible for the research, development and design of solutions for new digital camera systems. You may also be responsible for the modification of products or processes that are already in existence.

Employees have the opportunity to be a major contributor to their systems, often being involved in the entire project from start to finish. Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
