Job Description Job Summary: Teledyne Controls (part of Teledyne UK Ltd) is looking to the future, and we are actively recruiting at our repair facility in Cumbernauld. Teledyne Controls has built its name on intelligent solutions that collect, manager and deliver aircraft data more efficiently and our innovative technology and collaborative customer relationships have revolutionised the way aircraft operators’ access, manager and utilise their data. Thus, helping to achieve higher goals in safety, performance, and efficiency. We count over 300 airlines among our valued customers, including some of the world’s major carriers, supplying products to the major OEM’s such as Airbus and Boeing. We are looking for enthusiastic, inquisitive, and determined individuals who are looking for a challenging and fulfilling career to join our Repair team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Duties within areas of responsibilities will be expected to change to meet the changing needs of our business. Set up and conduct tests on equipment, materials, or prototypes. Record and analyse data to ensure compliance with standards Diagnose and repair faults in machinery or systems. Perform routine maintenance and upgrades. Inspect products and systems to ensure they meet quality standards Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of tests, repairs, and procedures. Create reports for engineers and managers. Recommend improvements or modifications when required. Education/Experience. HNC/ HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience. Position requires basic mechanical and electronics experience, with an emphasis on electronic skills. Requires knowledge of the principles of electronics and troubleshooting techniques. Experience testing electronic assemblies using traditional tooling, such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, function generator, etc. Experience using a variety of hand tools and machine shop tools, and equipment such as soldering iron, hand drill etc. Basic MS Office skills including ability to open and create files in Word, create and manipulate data in Excel and use E-mail and calendars in Outlook. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills; follow written and verbal procedures, instructions, read schematics. Must be able to deal with frequent change, delays, unexpected events or ambiguity, and is able to multi-task to accomplish repair activities to completion. Requires excellent analytical skills and sound judgment to ensure error-free repairs. Range of benefits include. Salary sacrifice-led pension plan that matches employee contributions up to 7%. As part of the onboarding process and personal development, the successful candidate will undergo technical training with existing technicians and managers to help build their understanding of the Teledyne Control products. 37hr per week: 2 weeks dayshift/2 weeks backshift Dayshift 7:00hrs-15:15hrs Mon-Thurs, 7:00hrs-13:30hrs Fri. Backshift 15:00hrs-23:15hrs Mon-Thurs, 13:15hrs-19:45hrs Fri. Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
