About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on technical challenges and has a passion for technology, electronics, and cars to join our Technical Help Team. Our team specialises in diagnosing and repairing non-standard faults found in our workshop.
Based conveniently between Nottingham and Derby, with access to the entrance of Shipley Country Park (700 acres of scenic landscape perfect for dining, walking, fishing, biking, and horse-riding).
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Develop continuous failure mode analysis for legacy products
- Follow wiring diagrams and pin data to power up ECUs on the bench and test specific circuits and functions
- Analyse ECUs and PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies) to uncover electronic faults and enact repairs where possible
- Create technical documentation
- Loop findings into SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and train team members

Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in electronic fault-finding down to component level
- Knowledge of PCB rework methods
- Familiarity with electronic schematic and wiring diagram readings
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Highly organised with a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Team player with excellent attention to detail
- Experience in automotive operations, electronics, and communication protocols
- Microsoft Office proficiency is a plus
