About the Role

We are seeking a great hands-on technician with the following expertise and attributes:

  • Excellent soldering skills, particularly with smallest surface mount components

  • Hands-on experience in hand-reworking PCBs (pcb rework)

  • Experience working in development environments rather than production, including:

    • Building circuit modifications
    • Assembling prototype circuit breadboards based on informal briefs
  • Strong ** organisational skills**, including upkeep of the electronics lab and equipment

  • Familiarity with electronics CAD systems for:

    • Finding information on PCB designs
    • Creating PCB components
    • Designing test boards
  • A can-do attitude with:

    • Ability to assimilate new information
    • Capacity to learn new skills quickly in a consultancy, dynamic environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required to interact with the entire DCA team and manage multiple requests efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Pipeling projects from exploratory and developmental stages to launch
  • Assisting key international brands such as Bentley, GSK, Reckitt, Hitachi, Rolls-Royce, and Sanofi to solve complex challenges
  • Building and refining prototypes or circuit designs
  • Managing workload and adapting to multiple project timelines

Requirements

  • Direct experience hand-soldering electronics to the highest standard, including tiny, delicate surface-mount components
  • Strong working knowledge of PCBs and electronic circuit principles
  • Relevant technical qualification to complement expertise and experience
  • Preference for candidates able to work from our Warwick studio
  • Legal right to work in the UK
