Elite Operative : Plasterer

About the Role
We are building the best trade team in social housing repairs at Gilmartins. This is not just another trade role—it’s an opportunity to join a company that values professionalism, quality, reliability, and leadership.
We’re expanding and looking for experienced, high-performing operatives across the Buckinghamshire area (including High Wycombe, Marlow and Princes Risborough) who are willing to travel and work across these locations.
We currently need elite operatives in the following trades:
- Plasterer (proficient in patching and larger areas), with experience in thermal boarding
- Willing to carry out painting and decorating, mould washing, re-pointing, and basic carpentry
This role offers a GBP 50,000 BASIC SALARY, with permanent, full-time employment paid monthly.

This Role Is NOT for Everyone

✔ Consistently achieve strong KPI performance
- Regular quality inspections and contractors audit feedback ✔ Maintain outstanding reliability with near-perfect timekeeping
- Never cancel or delay schedules without proper notice ✔ Keep the van stocked and organised, ensuring materials are fully managed ✔ Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle, including regular PD checks and waste management ✔ Strict adherence to all health and safety procedures, including Asbestos Awareness (CPD) and certified training ✔ Use technology (PDAs and recording systems) correctly—smart recording is mandatory ✔ Work independently with minimal supervision—autonomy is expected, not micromanagement ✔ Take full ownership of jobs from start to finish, ensuring accountability and satisfaction with the result

Experience & Requirements
Must Have:
🔹 Proven experience in social housing reactive maintenance (physical evidence of outstanding work) 🔹 Trade qualifications where applicable (e.g. CPCS, NOTEC, CSkills Building and Allied Trades, Apprenticeships) 🔹 Full manual driving license (no automatic vehicles available) 🔹 Strong communication and interpersonal skills—necessary for engaging with difficult tenants and colleagues 🔹 Experience working in occupied properties—managing disruptions and navigating limited space 🔹 Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and high work load
