About the Role
We are building one of the best trade teams in social housing repairs. Gilmartins is expanding, and we are looking for Elite Operatives to join us—this is not just another trade role. We reward professionalism, quality, reliability, and leadership.
Trades Sought
We’re recruiting experienced, high-performing operatives across South West London in the following specialisms:
- Plumbers
- Multi-Trades (with basic carpentry, electrical patching, plastering, and tiling skills)
Benefits
- £50,000 basic salary (plus bonuses)
- Full-time, permanent positions with monthly pay
- Company van and fuel card (business use only, no personal use permitted)

This Role Is Not for Everyone
Elite Operative demands high standards, accountability, and responsibility. As an operator, you must:
- Consistently achieve strong KPI performance
- Maintain exceptional quality inspection scores
- Demonstrate outstanding reliability and timekeeping
- Keep van stock organised and controlled
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle
- Follow all health and safety & asbestos protocols
- Use PDAs correctly and effectively
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Take full ownership of jobs from start to finish
Experience Required
Operatives must have:
- Proven experience in social housing reactive maintenance
- Relevant trade qualifications (where applicable)
- A full manual driving licence (no automatic vans)
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working in occupied properties
- The ability to manage workloads under pressure
