About the role:

PwC is continuing to scale its Responsible AI capability in the UK as demand grows for trusted, ethical and well-governed AI across sectors. As a Senior Associate in the Responsible AI team, you will support client engagements that help organisations design, build and deploy AI responsibly. You will work at the intersection of emerging technology, risk management and regulation, helping clients operationalise AI governance, implement practical controls and embed responsible AI practices across the AI lifecycle, including Gen AI and Agentic AI.

This is an opportunity for someone already at PwC who is interested in developing specialist expertise in a fast-growing area. The role offers the chance to work on high-profile client engagements, build experience in Responsible AI, and contribute to the growth of PwC’s market-facing capability.

What your days will look like:

  • Support Responsible AI client engagements, helping clients develop governance approaches, operating models, AI testing framework, AI policies and controls for AI.
  • Assist with AI risk assessments, including reviewing use cases, documentation and development practices to identify potential gaps around governance, fairness, transparency, privacy, security, monitoring and human oversight.
  • Help translate Responsible AI principles, regulatory expectations and PwC methodology into clear, practical guidance for clients.
  • Prepare key engagement artefacts such as AI risk assessments, governance documentation, control records, model testing summaries and evidence packs for assurance or audit.
  • Work with data science, engineering, cyber and risk colleagues to support the design of appropriate controls, guardrails, monitoring processes and escalation routes for AI systems, including GenAI and Agentic AI.
  • Contribute to model and AI system evaluations, including areas such as explainability, robustness, fairness, oversight and ongoing monitoring.
  • Support client workshops, meetings and working sessions by preparing materials, capturing outputs and helping translate complex AI risk topics into clear actions.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the Responsible AI capability, including internal knowledge-sharing, team materials, propositions and methodology development.
  • Conducting research on emerging trends in RAI, as input into client workshops. This includes areas such as technical testing, red teaming, sustainable AI architecture, AI cost optimisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
