About the Team
The PwC Financial Services (FS) Tax team is the leading provider of tax services to the Financial Services sector in the UK. We are a national team of tax professionals based in offices around the UK in London, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester. The team offers a full range of tax services including tax compliance, corporate tax advisory, transfer pricing, international structuring, indirect tax advisory, tax reporting and strategy, stamp duty, HR tax and Tax Investigations.
FS Tax marketplace spans the Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), Insurance (INS), Asset Wealth Management (AWM) and Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) industry groups. There are also specialist teams supported by the industry groups and working across FS in Private Client (PC), Indirect Tax (ITX), Technology & Transformation (T&T) and Transfer Pricing (TP).

About the role
The role will be focused on working with other team members to deliver a wide range of tax services to our UK and international clients. There will be opportunities to develop a deep knowledge and experience of the sector and get exposure to a wider variety of areas of tax.
The role will involve working closely with other tax professionals within the team and at our clients, providing significant development opportunities that arise in working in a market leading team
FS Tax work nationally with teams in London, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and Bristol. Whilst we are location agnostic it is expected that the successful candidate will be willing to spend time with clients and colleagues in multiple locations.
Essential Skills & Experience
ACA/ATT/CTA qualification (or international equivalent). Applications from candidates not yet time qualified will be considered. Candidates are expected to have a good accounting knowledge
- An ability to communicate effectively both with colleagues and senior stakeholders
- Good knowledge of Word and Excel and be able to demonstrate an interest in developing skills in newer technologies such as AI
- A desire to take advantage of new opportunities for learning, sharing knowledge; and thinking creatively
