Email Campaign Marketing Manager (6 Month FTC) – London, UK (Hybrid, 3 Days at Client Office)

About the Role
This six-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) role is embedded within a client’s Growth Marketing & Platform Innovation team, based in their UK retail banking division in London. As Email Campaign Marketing Manager, you’ll work at the intersection of strategy, compliance, and creative execution to deliver high-impact email campaigns across mortgages, loans, and customer retention programmes.
This is ideal for someone with expertise in B2C email marketing in regulated industries, though equivalent governance experience in sectors like fintech, e-commerce, or telecommunications will be valued.
Your Responsibilities

Campaign Delivery & Lifecycle Management
- Develop, manage, and deliver AEOI commission email campaigns, ensuring alignment with acquisition, retention, and commercial objectives.
- Hit deadlines without compromising quality, brand guidelines, or regulatory compliance.

Strategic & Commercial Accountability
- Design and maintain email programmes that drive measurable growth, with a focus on customer-centric copy, segmentation, and personalisation.
- Follow regulatory frameworks (e.g., CAA, FCA, GDPR) to ensure risk-minimal outputs while maximising deliverability and engagement.

Quality Assurance (QA) & Compliance
- Enforce rigorous QA processes—editing copy, checking technical accuracy (e.g., links, data), and ensuring regulatory adherence.
- Own customer-facing QA reviews daily to boost trust and mitigate errors before campaigns launch.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Engage with creative teams, agencies, and product specialists, coordinating approvals and aligning stakeholder priorities.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration, ensuring seamless delivery while managing competing demands.

Creative & Technical Collaboration
- Work with design, tech, and campaigns teams to ensure brand consistency and campaign effectiveness across platforms.
- Support structured test-and-learn initiatives, embedding actionable insights into future strategies.

Performance & Iterative Improvements
- Analyse campaign data (opening rates, conversion, ROi) via ** dashboards and BI tools**. Revise hypotheses and optimise strategies.
- Train internal teams on emerging AI tooling and data-driven marketing best practices (see: AI Requirements).

Business & Budget Management
- Track spend against clean budgets, flagging opportunities to reallocate or optimise costs.
- Collate financial insights to influence strategic campaign spend decisions.

Creativity & Technology Enablement
- Use *AI tools to enhance creative briefs, automate report generation, and refine workflows (e.g., prompt generation, large-scale analytics).
- Test AI-assisted templates, segmentation logic, and performance modelling tools under governance checks.
- Note: Gen AI will be applied post-human review for compliance-sensitive or customer-facing outputs.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Experience & Skills

Proven Track Record
- 5+ years in *email marketing/direct response, preferably in regulated environments (financial services, healthcare, or dominant corporations welcome).
- Experience managing high-scale, compliance-critical programmes (e.g., GDPR, FCA, CAA).

Stakeholder & Governance Expertise
- Experience working in matrix organisations—navigating political scenarios to meet project goals.
- Strong advocacy skills for email marketing in non-marketing governance spaces.

Analytical Mindset & Reporting
- Skilled in using dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), attribution models, and statistical tools to diagnose problems and drive decisions.
- Repeatable methodology for KPI measurement, hypothesis testing, and cross-campaign benchmarking.

Multi-Threaded Delivery
- Proven ability to juggle deadlines across teams without sacrificing quality, tone, or deliverability.
- Track record of adapting under ambiguous circumstances while keeping campaigns aligned.

Core Technical & Compliance Skills
- Intermediate mastery of email platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Mailchimp, Klaviyo), ESP testing (e.g., Bold, Revenue Cat).
- Ability to audit development partners (e.g., dev teams, agencies) for errors before release.
- Budget tracking side-by-side with task deliveryARC dependencies (budget vs. output).

- Advanced proficiency with *Gen AI tools used in undefined marketing (fewestreomal areas: fast draft generation, automated compliance checks, AI-powered segmentation).

- Familiarity with unsupervised learning and prebuilt AI templates in campaign generation/mapping.
