We are currently recruiting for an Email Designer and Developer
We are currently recruiting for an Email Designer and Developer to bring creative vision and technical expertise together to design and build engaging, high-performing email campaigns that deliver meaningful customer experiences. About the Role
As an Email Designer and Developer, you will play a key role in designing and building dynamic, personalised email campaigns that align with brand standards and drive engagement. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will combine strong design capability with technical coding expertise to deliver high-quality, responsive emails. You’ll also stay ahead of email trends and continuously optimise performance through testing and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build responsive, modular email templates using tools such as Figma and Emarsys, including dynamic and personalised content variations
- Develop and maintain reusable content blocks and templates using scripting to ensure scalable and efficient campaign delivery
- Collaborate with stakeholders across CRM, creative, copywriting and strategy to refine emails based on feedback and performance insights
- Optimise email templates for performance, accessibility and compatibility across devices, clients and environments (including dark mode)
- Monitor email performance (e.g. click-through rates, heatmaps) and proactively recommend improvements to enhance engagement and results
Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs. About You
You will be a detail-driven and creative professional who thrives at the intersection of design and development. You will bring strong communication skills and the confidence to contribute ideas, present work and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality outputs to tight deadlines. You will also take ownership of your work, continually seeking opportunities to improve performance, adopt new trends and enhance the overall email experience.
You will also have:
- Proven experience designing and coding responsive email campaigns, with knowledge of email scripting and personalisation techniques
- Strong understanding of email client behaviour, accessibility standards and best practice across platforms
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, ideally within e-commerce or a similar commercially driven business sector
