About D&AD

D&AD is a global non-profit organisation that exists to celebrate, inspire, and enable excellence in commercial creativity. Through our iconic Pencil Awards, learning programmes, talent initiatives, and global creative community, we bring together the world’s most creative thinkers, makers, and doers to champion the power of creativity to drive progress in business and society.

We are looking for an experienced Email Marketing Manager to lead D&AD’s email and CRM marketing strategy, helping us deepen audience engagement, drive revenue, and build lasting relationships across our diverse portfolio of products and programmes.

The Role

The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimising D&AD’s email marketing and customer lifecycle communications across Awards, Festival, Learning, Talent, and Partnerships programmes and initiatives through the year.

You will own the email channel from strategy through to delivery, ensuring the right messages reach the right audiences at the right time. Working closely with colleagues across marketing, content, product, and data, you will develop targeted campaigns, automated journeys, and segmentation strategies that drive engagement, acquisition, retention, and conversion.

This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and is ideal for someone who has experience in and is passionate about customer journeys, data-driven marketing, and creating highly effective communications.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Management, Planning & Execution

  • Plan, build, test, and deploy email campaigns across D&AD’s portfolio
  • Own and manage the email campaign calendar and coordinate communications across multiple products and teams
  • Work closely with content, design, and marketing colleagues to develop compelling email campaigns
  • Ensure all campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with brand guidelines
  • Manage A/B testing and continuous optimisation programmes
  • Write compelling content for all email campaigns, with a sharp eye for what makes people open, click and take action.
  • Oversee the curation of high-quality imagery to ensure emails are visually appealing and feel right for each audience.

Audience Segmentation & Data Management

  • Use audience data - transactional, demographic, engagement and behavioural insights to identify audience intent, predict customer needs, and develop lifecycle marketing strategies that increase conversion, retention, and long-term audience value.
  • Work with customer and audience data to develop sophisticated segmentation strategies to deliver personalised communications and continuously improve customer experience and conversion throughout the lifecycle.
  • Maintain audience lists and ensure data quality and compliance collaborating with our CRM and Data Lead
  • Drive personalisation initiatives using customer behaviour, preferences, lifecycle stage, product interest, and engagement history to deliver more relevant and effective customer experiences.
  • Develop and maintain segmentation strategies to deliver tailored content to different audience groups effectively.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify audience opportunities and behavioural insights

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
