Email Marketing Manager
Freelance | Part-Time | Remote
At The Somatic School, we believe every email is felt.
It can spark curiosity, build trust, deepen relationships and help someone take the next meaningful step towards training as a Body-Oriented Coach.
We're looking for an experienced Email Marketing Manager to own and evolve our entire email ecosystem in HubSpot. This is a role for someone who enjoys both thinking strategically and rolling up their sleeves to make things happen. You'll design journeys, build automations, analyse performance, run experiments and continually optimise every stage of our marketing funnel.
You'll work closely with our leadership team, sales and marketing, taking ownership of lifecycle communications from first enquiry through to enrolment, graduation and beyond.
You'll thrive in this role if you...
- Love turning data into meaningful improvements.
- Enjoy spotting friction in customer journeys and finding elegant solutions.
- Are equally comfortable developing strategy and implementing it yourself.
- Have strong HubSpot experience and enjoy building sophisticated automations.
- Naturally think in systems, segmentation and lifecycle journeys.
- Care deeply about detail, list hygiene and delivering an uncommonly beautiful customer experience.
- Have strong copy instincts and an understanding of what creates engagement and trust.
- Take ownership of your work, communicate proactively and have excellent follow-through.
- Enjoy testing, learning and continually improving performance rather than simply maintaining campaigns.
You'll be responsible for
- Owning our lifecycle email strategy from lead generation through to alumni engagement.
- Building, managing and optimising automated journeys and campaigns in HubSpot.
- Developing thoughtful segmentation and personalisation strategies.
- Improving funnel performance through ongoing testing and experimentation.
- Collaborating on compelling email content that reflects The Somatic School's voice and values.
- Maintaining excellent deliverability, CRM hygiene and marketing best practice.
- Producing clear weekly and monthly reporting with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Working autonomously while collaborating closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Our Values
We’re looking for people who fit our values:
Faithful Service: In giving we receive
Everything we do is in service of creating uncommonly beautiful experiences for our participants. We believe these experiences don’t just benefit the participants, but everyone involved - now and in the future. When the act of service itself is a joy, everybody wins.
Generosity of Spirit: In receiving we give
At The Somatic School we believe that the spirit with which we receive other people has the power to support genius or diminish it. How can we be a generative presence in our interactions to bring out the best in each other? Every encounter counts.
Humility: Beginner’s mind
At The Somatic School we recognise there is no one way, no one has it all figured out, and we are always learning. We are open-minded, hungry for feedback, and ask for help when we need it. We believe the best leaders follow, so we lead with curiosity.
Professionalism: Three Ps in a pod

At The Somatic School we recognise the extent of our impact.
- Punctuality: We’re on time because it sets the tone.
- Preparation: We come prepared so we can be present and contribute.
- Presentation: We’re mindful of the aesthetic, pace and tone of everything that we do because everything is a communication.
Response-ability: If it isn’t resonant, it isn’t right
For us, response-ability means listening for the feeling of inner rightness. We don’t proceed unless it feels like a fit. If it doesn’t feel right, we pause and check-in, speaking truthfully with care and curiosity for ourselves and each other. Response-ability is our responsibility.
Inclusion: No person (or part) left out
All are welcome and all parts of all people are welcome too. Whether spiritual or secular, scientist or creative - you’re welcome here. Regardless of socio-economic background, ethnicity or culture - you’re welcome here. Good to go or ready for rest; a great success or a struggling mess; mad, sad or glad - it’s welcome here.
Simplicity: When it stops being simple, stop
At The Somatic School less is more. We begin everything with simplicity in mind. The more time we spend on something, the simpler it should become. If it’s not simple, we stop and simplify.
We don’t just ‘say’ these are our values. We live by them and use them all the time - to recruit the right people, manage individual performance, recognise good practice, and make decisions.
How to Apply
Please submit your application here.
We will be accepting applications until 14 August 2026. If you are successful, please be prepared to start working within September 2026.
If you're energised by combining strategy, systems, creativity and data—and you care about creating communications that genuinely serve people—we'd love to hear from you!
