Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Email & SMS Specialist to deliver and optimise email and SMS marketing activity within the Marketing Operations function at K3 Advisory Group. You will manage the build, deployment, and performance optimisation of email and SMS campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), working closely with the Journey & Lifecycle Senior Manager to execute automated and one-to-many communications across K3's audience. This role requires a strong technical understanding of SFMC, excellent attention to detail, and a data-driven approach to improving open rates, engagement, and conversion performance.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Build, deploy, optimise & maintain email/SMS communications from SFMC
- Translating AI-driven segmentation & journey requirements into high-quality, personalised communications
Functional Responsibilities
- You will own Email Studio, Mobile Studio and Content Builder - the execution layer - building dynamic content, AMPscript, personalisation strings and triggered sends.
- You will build and deploy a full range of emails - nurture, sales enablement, event, cross-sell, partner/referral, trigger and operational - owning everything from build and personalisation through to QA sign-off and deployment.
- You will manage the SMS programme, delivering triggered messages, event reminders, sales follow-ups, customer updates and appointment reminders, backed by strong templates and governance.
- You will bring AI-driven personalisation to life across email and SMS, working with variables like industry, sector, revenue band, service interest, intent score, persona and opportunity stage.
- You will develop AMPscript and dynamic logic within SFMC, building content blocks, personalisation logic, conditional content and data lookups, and turning them into reusable libraries and templates for the wider team.
- You will build scalable communication frameworks - modular templates, component libraries and reusable content blocks - that make it faster and easier for the team to deploy on-brand, compliant communications.
- You will support journey execution, configuring journey emails, SMS activities, trigger events, decision splits and dynamic content.
- You will safeguard channel health, monitoring inbox placement, sender reputation, spam complaints, SMS compliance and unsubscribes.
- You will run testing and optimisation programmes with the creative, content and segmentation teams - testing subject lines, CTAs, content and send times for email, and message length, wording, timing and frequency for SMS.
- You will manage data extensions and audience readiness, ensuring every send is built on clean, validated, sendable data.
- You will report on commercial performance weekly and monthly, tracking engagement, lead generation, opportunity creation and revenue contribution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
