Embedded Linux Developer – Hybrid (Cambridge)
We're looking for an Embedded Linux Developer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering embedded software across a range of complex technology projects.
This role combines Embedded Linux development with broader embedded software engineering, giving you the opportunity to work across Linux, RTOS, bare-metal systems, and hardware integration. You'll be involved throughout the full development lifecycle, collaborating with electronics, FPGA, and systems engineers to deliver robust embedded solutions across a variety of industries.

Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Strong Embedded Linux development experience
- Experience with Embedded C/C++
- Knowledge of device trees, kernel-space, user-space, and ARM-based SoC platforms
- Experience with board bring-up, debugging, and hardware/software integration
- Comfortable working across the full embedded software lifecycle
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
Desirable:
- Yocto experience
- RTOS and bare-metal embedded development
- Python, C#, or similar scripting/tooling languages
- Device driver development
- DSP, communications protocols, or embedded algorithms
- Ability to read electronics schematics
- Customer-facing engineering experience
