Senior Embedded Software Engineer | C/C++ | RTOS | ARM | Hybrid

πŸ“ Ware, Hertfordshire (Hybrid)
πŸ’° Up to Β£75,000 + Bonus + Holiday Bonus + Share Scheme + Excellent Benefits

I'm working with a global technology organisation that develops advanced surveillance and imaging systems used to support public safety, critical infrastructure, and security applications worldwide.

Their specialist engineering team is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to help develop complex, real-world products from concept through to deployment and ongoing support.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working close to the hardware and wants to see their code operating in sophisticated electromechanical systems deployed in demanding environments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing embedded software in C/C++ for bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
  • Creating low-level drivers and communication interfaces
  • Working closely with hardware engineers on board bring-up, integration and debugging
  • Optimising system performance, memory utilisation and power consumption
  • Supporting the full product lifecycle from development through testing and maintenance
  • Contributing to technically complex products that combine software, electronics and mechanical systems

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
