Embedded Software Engineer £45-60K + benefits

Advanced R&D | Embedded Systems | Next-Generation Technology

We’re working with an innovative engineering business developing cutting-edge hardware and software products that are redefining how intelligent systems interact with the real world. This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative R&D environment where engineers are given genuine ownership, work on technically challenging problems, and contribute directly to products making a measurable real-world impact.

The team is building advanced embedded platforms that combine high-performance electronics, intelligent control systems, connectivity, and modern software engineering practices. You’ll be working close to the hardware, contributing to technology that moves beyond proof-of-concept into deployed, mission-critical products.

The Opportunity

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll work on low-level firmware and embedded systems development across a range of next-generation products and prototypes.

This role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, working close to hardware, and contributing within a fast-moving R&D-led environment where innovation and experimentation are actively encouraged.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
