Embedded Software Development Engineer – Designworks. (Windsor)

About The Company

They are an established global leading industrial design, engineering & model making agency, being around for 31 years with offices in Brisbane and Hong Kong too. They are an award-winning rapid design and manufacturing business who are now looking to further expand their team. Cover range of sectors such as medical, scientific, consumer, retail tech. Worked directly with brands such as BP, British Airways, Disney, Bently. Chance to be in a fast paced, yet collaborative environment.

About The Role

  • Develop embedded firmware and software to meet client requirements
  • Research emerging tech and be knowledge of current industry developments
  • Collaborate with software and firmware teams
  • Assist with software integration
  • Open to MSc graduates and placement candidates
  • On site 5 days a week with 8 hours in a working day, starting between 7am-10am
  • Sometimes WFH could be allowed when necessary
  • Up to £50K annually
  • Potential for relocation support (£2K-£3K)

Requirements

  • BA in Computer/Software Engineering/similar
  • 1-2 years’ experience as a minimum in C and C++, Linux, and STM32
  • Familiar with embedded development tools and Platform’s such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, JTAG debugging, or similar
  • Be able to commute to Windsor 5 days a week
  • Medical device experience advantageous but not essential
  • Cloud exposure is a bonus!
  • Be confident and calm with client interactions
  • Coming from a background in Pure software/application layers or GUI-Heavy backgrounds would be an advantage too
