Role Description

This full-time Embedded Software Engineer role is an on-site position based in the United Kingdom. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining embedded software solutions that support client-focused business systems and products. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Integrating software with hardware components
  • Performing debugging and troubleshooting to ensure reliable system performance

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to:

  • Refine requirements
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Optimize software design for stability, efficiency, and scalability

The position also includes:

  • Documenting software components
  • Following best practices for quality and security
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of development processes

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Embedded Software Programming and hands-on experience with Embedded Software platforms.
  • Proficiency in Software Development, including coding, integration, and testing in embedded environments.
  • Capability in Debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems to identify and resolve software and interface issues.
  • Experience with Software Design principles, architecture, and patterns tailored to embedded systems.
  • Relevant degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS), microcontrollers, and communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).
  • Knowledge of version control tools (such as Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work effectively on-site in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience in consulting, product development, or working across varied industries is an advantage.
