Embedded Software Engineer Needed
Location: Bath Job Type: Full-time Employment Status: Permanent Hours: Central location, hybrid working with flexibility
About The Role
Joining an exciting company, we have an opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer to be part of their new projects specialising in wireless technologies and IoT.
Suitable applicants will have 2–5 years or more relevant experience and the following key skills:
Responsibilities
- Developing embedded software using core skills in:
- C programming and embedded systems
- Scripting languages, ideally Python
- Hands-on experience with:
- Embedded microcontrollers (ARM, STM32)
- Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) or working at a bare-metal level
- Communication protocol knowledge

Bonus experience with:
- IoT and wireless technologies including LoRaWAN
- Hardware or FPGA expertise
You’ll tackle intriguing challenges requiring flexibility, initiative, and technical versatility.
Requirements
- 2–5 years minimum Experience as an embedded software engineer
- Strong fundamentals in C programming and embedded development
- Proficiency with ARM or STM32 microcontrollers
- Familiarity with RTOS or bare-metal design
- A problem-solving attitude with a tolerance for dynamic project requirements
