Embedded Software Engineer
South-west UK | Hybrid
Circa £55,000 - 60,000 + Benefits
Must be eligible for SC clearance
Summary
I’m working with a growing technology business looking to appoint an Embedded Software Engineer.
You’ll join a specialist engineering team developing high-integrity embedded software for complex, regulated environments. The role covers the full software lifecycle, including design, development, verification, integration, and deployment.

- Design and develop embedded software for real-time systems
- Support software architecture and system integration
- Contribute to verification and validation activities
- Develop software in line with safety and certification requirements
- Support safety-monitoring and fail-safe functionality
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
We’re looking for:
- Strong embedded software engineering experience
- Experience with C, C++, Ada or similar languages
- Knowledge of real-time or embedded systems
- Exposure to safety-critical or regulated environments
- An understanding of software verification and validation

Experience with Ada/SPARK, DO-178C, avionics, autonomous systems, formal methods, or model-based development would be advantageous, but is not essential.
