Job Title
Are you an experienced Embedded Software Engineer looking to work on technology that makes a real-world impact?
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a talented R&D team developing innovative safety-critical products and embedded systems. This is an opportunity to play a key technical leadership role, influencing software architecture, mentoring engineers, and driving best practices across the software development lifecycle.
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will act as a technical authority within the engineering team, leading the design and development of embedded software solutions for safety-related products. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to strategic technical decisions, and support the development of engineering standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead embedded systems and software architecture activities within project teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for safety-critical applications.
- Mentor and support other engineers, promoting engineering excellence.
- Conduct software design and documentation reviews.
- Drive adoption of software development best practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Define and communicate implementation strategies for software development processes.
- Perform technology investigations and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, and international engineering teams.
- Work closely with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.

Essential Experience
- Embedded software development for low-power microcontrollers (ARM, PIC or similar).
- Strong Embedded C/C++ development skills.
- Experience working within safety-critical or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of MISRA C and software coding standards.
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools and practices.
- Software verification, validation, unit testing, and code analysis.
- Understanding of safety lifecycles and V-model development processes.
- Proven track record delivering high-quality embedded software solutions.
- Ability to read and understand embedded system circuit schematics.
