Embroidery Designer | 12-Month FTC
Create Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded London-based luxury womenswear brand to recruit an Embroidery Designer on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join an independent luxury fashion house celebrated for its exquisite hand-embellished collections, intricate craftsmanship and distinctive storytelling. Renowned for creating collectible ready-to-wear and bridal pieces that blend historical influences with a contemporary aesthetic, the brand has built an international following for its artistry, attention to detail and commitment to exceptional quality.
About the Role
Working closely with the Founder & Creative Director and Design Director, you'll play a pivotal role in developing embroidery and embellishment across seasonal collections, bridal and special projects. This is a highly creative, hands-on position where you'll take embroidery concepts from initial inspiration through to production, researching historical, artistic and cultural references, creating original embroidery and embellishment artworks, and developing both hand-drawn and digital motifs, layouts and placement designs.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with embroidery ateliers and suppliers throughout the sampling and production process, reviewing swatches, strike-offs and prototypes, providing detailed feedback, tracking developments and ensuring every piece meets the brand's exacting standards.
- Work closely with Product Development, balancing creativity with technical feasibility while continually exploring new techniques, materials and embellishment innovations.
Requirements
- Highly creative designer with outstanding hand-drawing and illustration skills.
- A refined eye for colour, composition and detail.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Genuine passion for embroidery, embellishment and craftsmanship.
- Strong appreciation of luxury fashion.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Previous experience working with embroidery and embellishment is desirable, but we're equally interested in candidates with exceptional artistic ability and a willingness to learn.
