EMC Test Technician – Commercial EMC Team

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled EMC Test Technician to join our Commercial EMC Team. This hands-on role involves preparing equipment, assisting test engineers, and conducting electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests following commercial standards and internal procedures.

Ideal for someone with technical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and an interest in defence and aerospace testing, this position offers excellent development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and assist with EMC testing of electronic equipment
  • Operate test equipment under supervision
  • Accurately record measurements and observations
  • Prepare and maintain lab setups, equipment, and test environments
  • Follow internal procedures and contribute to lab housekeeping
  • Provide support for site-based testing at customer premises when required

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical qualification (e.g., BTEC, HNC) in engineering, or relevant experience in a testing or lab environment
  • Familiarity with test equipment and safety procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

** Postal Requirements**

We require that you can:

  • Support testing at customer locations
  • Maintain regular hours:
    • Monday to Thursday: 08:30–17:00
    • Friday: 08:30–15:45 (37.5 hours per week)
  • Demonstrate a team-focused and safety-conscious attitude
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
