Overview Of The Department/Section
The EMEA Capital Markets Group focuses on origination, structuring and distribution (OtD) of financial instruments with the objective of raising capital for MUFG clients. The department works in close partnership with GCIB, representing borrowers in need of capital, and with distribution channels, or purchasers of financial instruments. The EMEA Investment Grade Capital Markets team seek to leverage the strength of MUFG's Investment Grade corporate client relationships and global investor footprint to provide our clients with comprehensive financing solutions.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
You will have accountability for the following named departments, this includes: EMEA Capital Markets / Bond & Loan Origination You will be employed by MUFG Securities EMEA plc (MUSE) with dual hat status for MUFG, Bank, Ltd. (Bank). You will be held responsible for supporting the business to deliver the annual budget target. You will be held accountable and responsible for demonstrating by example and personal conduct professional behaviour that is consistent with MUFG’s corporate culture and values You will adhere to regulatory expectations in relation to business activities and associated control frameworks and continue to remediate regulatory issues and operate in a safe and sound manner consistent with applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities
Specifically, you will be accountable and responsible for taking appropriate action with respect to the Company’s and GCIB’S/EMEA Capital Markets, including: Responsible for supporting the relevant Bond & Loan Origination function throughout the different stages from initial transaction analysis to the final documentation and completion phases including but not limited to preparing pricing, deal screening support memos and arranging material for pricing meetings. Responsible for taking the lead on the production of high-quality tailor-made client presentations and pitch-books. Responsible for producing market research on pricing, deal structures and investor activity as required. Responsible for focusing on internal/external management of transactions with emphasis on preparation of offers, client presentations and management of the documentation process. Responsible for providing support to the senior originators, ensuring that all the administrative and compliance tasks associated with the origination function are completed. Accountable to build client relationships and approach clients in a professional and structured way. Responsible for developing a practical understanding of our wider product capabilities and how the Bonds & Loans teams interact with these products including understanding overall client relationship profitability. Responsible for developing a practical understanding of all core systems and procedures and how they link into standard systems in order to respond to enquiries. Technical Capability: Responsible for identifying and understanding issues, errors or concerns, swiftly and accurately and resolve problems taking into account agreed procedures and service needs. Responsible and accountable for managing conflicting priorities and re-prioritise work accordingly. Responsible for working effectively with other people via different methods, both inside and outside of EMEA Capital Markets, building and promoting effective working relationships. Authority to make result driven strong decisions and manage large workloads and tight deadlines. Responsible for using a range of communication skills to be able to adapt to a range of clients, stakeholder and external parties. Relationship with other functions and stakeholders: Maintain and enhance good working relationships with stakeholders, across the region and globally to share best practices, provide support and develop effective local policies and procedures appropriate to the Company, and working in support of the One MUFG and overall Group strategy.

Work Experience
Essential:
Analyst level position at a global bank.
Preferred:
Deal/pricing experience across Bonds or Loans.

Education / Qualifications: Essential
Degree or equivalent work experience equally preferable. Regulatory certification will be required for this role.
