Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced financial crime compliance professional to lead the EMEA Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), based in London. The role leads financial crime investigations and suspicious activity reporting across the UK, EU, and Middle East, supporting EMEA MLROs and the UK MLRO/SMF17 in meeting regulatory obligations. You will develop the EMEA FIU strategy and work closely with State Street's regulated legal entities across EMEA and the global FIU team in the US.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model in London. Hybrid pattern is 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.

What You Will Be Responsible For
As EMEA Head of Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), Vice President, you will
- Lead the EMEA FIU team across financial crime investigations and SAR filings.
- Support EMEA MLROs in fulfilling suspicious activity reporting obligations.
- Support the UK MLRO/SMF17 with UK FCC programme effectiveness.
- Work with the UK MLRO and UK DMLRO on annual money laundering and sanctions risk assessments.
- Chair the Risk Assessment Working Group and participate in global AML working groups.
- Provide clear and accurate management information to committees and forums.
- Support initiatives related to new business and emerging financial crime risks.

What We Value

- Seasoned leadership in a complex financial services environment
- Effective communication both verbal and written
- Confident decision making, able to challenge consensus
- Ability to work under pressure, deal with multiple tasks, and to prioritize
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years' experience leading an FIU, running complex investigations teams or providing financial crime compliance advisory services in a large financial institution, fintech, or global payments environment
- Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience
- Previous MLRO/DMLRO experience.
- Knowledge of wider financial crime risks, including bribery and corruption, money laundering/counter terrorist financing, and sanctions.
- Proven experience developing financial intelligence under the UK Proceeds of Crime regime or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of UK/EU laws, regulations, and regulatory expectations relating to AML and financial crime, including money laundering detection tools.
- Established network of contacts in financial crime intelligence, asset recovery, or law enforcement.
- Experience conducting financial crime risk assessments, delivering financial crime training, and regulatory horizon scanning.
- ACAMS or ICA certification, or equivalent.
