Detection & Controls Sales Support Engineer – EMEA
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Detection & Controls Sales Support Engineer to join our EMEA team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in supporting a growing portfolio of fire detection, control, and life safety solutions across the region.
As the technical expert within the team, you will provide advanced technical support, product expertise, and training to customers, sales teams, and industry stakeholders. You will work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure solutions are correctly specified, supported, and implemented, while helping to drive business growth across the EMEA market.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 technical support for detection and control systems to customers, internal teams, consultants, and specifiers.
- Support regional sales teams with technical expertise to help achieve sales and margin objectives.
- Assist operations teams with technical input for quotations, project documentation, and solution design.
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers and stakeholders.
- Support the specification of detection and control solutions with consultants, end users, and internal colleagues.
- Develop and deliver technical and commercial training programmes for both internal teams and external customers.
- Gather market feedback and contribute to product improvements and new product development initiatives.
- Support the introduction and evaluation of new and beta products.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to share knowledge and provide technical support when required.
- Assist in resolving product-related technical issues and claims by providing expert guidance and recommendations.
- Support compliance activities, including local approvals, certifications, and adherence to relevant industry standards.

Location & Travel
This role can be based in the UK, Poland, Spain, or Italy and offers a hybrid working environment from one of our regional offices. Travel across the EMEA region is required for approximately 20% of the role.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong technical knowledge of detection, control, and life safety systems.
- Experience in technical support, applications engineering, or product training.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced international environment.

- Additional European language skills.
