What You’ll Do

The role of the SDC is to design solutions for multi-national customers (MNCs) by championing FCM’s value proposition. By incorporating their unique insights, expertise and best practices in technology, innovation and industry trends, the SDC guides customers towards the optimisation of their business travel program within FCM. Using consultative skills, the SDC’s main goals are to propose solutions customized for the needs of prospective clients while remaining within FCM’s capabilities, create the blueprint for the client’s onboarding project via a Statement of Requirements (SOR) and design Optimisation opportunities for existing MNCs to aid retention. Their work will ensure measurable and realistic goals/expectations are set throughout the customer journey with FCM. The role will also:

  • Drive the FCM portfolio of value-added solutions and innovations to ensure company commercial success for MNCs, via optimisation and enhancement of existing programs
  • Develop relationships with key customers and prospects, together with the commercial teams, to understand their business needs and convert them into strategic opportunities for FCM

  • Confidence to question the status quo and explain potential better options
  • Contribute to and understand the business plan.
  • Understand business decisions and seek solutions to challenges as they arise
  • Motivated and focused to achieve individual, team and company goals
  • Travel may be required (up to 10%)
  • Adaptable due to working with the business’ changing priorities
  • Ad-hoc duties may be required which require flexibility with working hours and place of work due to company growth plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience at FCM and a sound understanding of MNC accounts (preferred)
  • A strong knowledge of end-to-end business processes and the downstream effects associated with these, including GDS, QC, OBT and Reporting tools (Essential)
  • A strong understanding of the FCM MNC onboarding process (Preferred)
  • A university degree or other formal qualifications with special experience that may be regarded as equivalent (Preferred)
  • A certificate or qualification in Project Management, or a combination of other formal qualifications with special experience that may be regarded as equivalent (E.g. Lean and/or Six Sigma)
