Introduction

Join a global technology business operating across the circular economy, taking ownership of strategic sourcing across the UK and EMEA. This is a commercially focused role where you’ll build international supplier partnerships, optimise the supply chain and secure the right pre-owned technology products at the right price.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead sourcing and procurement activity for pre-owned devices across the UK and EMEA.
  • Develop strategic sourcing plans that balance long-term supply requirements with tactical commercial opportunities.
  • Build and manage relationships with global suppliers, negotiating strong commercial agreements, pricing and delivery terms.
  • Use market intelligence and commercial insight to secure competitive purchasing prices across different product grades.
  • Oversee the upstream supply chain, improving visibility and ensuring stock availability remains aligned with business and customer demand.
  • Work closely with operational and technical teams to ensure suppliers consistently meet required product and quality standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance, inventory levels, returns, credits, ageing stock and purchasing pipelines to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Build transparent sourcing and purchasing plans, providing senior stakeholders with clear reporting on requirements, supplier performance and market pricing.
  • Analyse the financial impact and commercial risks associated with different sourcing strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen sourcing relationships across regions and create a more resilient international supply chain.

Main Skills Needed

  • Ideally at least three years’ experience sourcing pre-owned mobile devices within international markets.
  • Strong knowledge of the used-device ecosystem, including areas such as device grading, FMI, Knox, regional coding and network bands.
  • Extensive experience across strategic sourcing, procurement and supply chain management within technology, telecommunications or end-user devices.
  • Excellent commercial negotiation skills with a track record of securing competitive pricing and effective supplier agreements.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to use complex commercial and supply chain data to inform decisions.
  • Excellent financial awareness with a clear understanding of cost management, margins and commercial risk.
  • Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and develop lasting supplier relationships.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly when working with data, reporting and presentations.
  • Experience with customer auction channels and the outsourcing or disposal of stock would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and collaborating across international teams.
