Responsibilities
- Manage and execute UK and EMEA tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee direct and indirect tax obligations in the region, including:
- UK corporate income tax
- PAYE processes
- Withholding taxes
- VAT, alongside other EMEA-specific levies.
- Lead the coordination of local tax returns, statutory accounts, and tax calculations, while collaborating with external advisors as needed.
- Support the income tax provisioning process for UK and EMEA entities, covering:
- Data collection and analysis under IFRS (IAS 12)
- Detailed reconciliation processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for EMEA tax audits, inspections, and inquiries, serving as the liaison between tax authorities and external advisors.
- Monitor and interpret UK & EMEA tax law changes, assessing their implications and proactively advising the company on tax risks and compliance strategies.
- Drive transfer pricing and intercompany matters across EMEA, including documentation in line with global tax policy.
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, People, and Operations teams to provide practical tax guidance for regional business activities and cross-border transactions.
- Streamline and enhance tax processes, controls, and documentation across EMEA to align with compliance standards and business scaling.

Qualifications
✅ Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (tax focus preferred).
✅ Certifications Preferred:
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification.
✅ Experience:
- 6+ years’ progressive experience in UK or EMEA corporate tax, spanning public accounting, industry, or a blended background.
- Deep expertise in UK corporate tax and VAT, with broader EMEA jurisdiction experience being a huge plus.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS 12, with US GAAP experience considered an asset.
- Skilled in tax audits, transfer pricing and intercompany structures within a multinational environment.
✅ Skills:
- Analytical acuity and unrelenting attention to detail, capable of managing cross-jurisdictional timelines.
- Ability to articulate complex tax concepts in clear terms to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office, with a plus for experience in ERP systems and tax compliance tools.
- Fluent in English; fluency in additional European languages is a strong point.
