The EMEA Trade Operations Senior Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring trade compliance rules and regulations are met
  • Managing trade compliance risks and issues to ensure all aspects of duty management and compliance are appropriately controlled and prioritized.
  • Supporting with the maintenance of trade metrics, internal self-audits & processes to ensure adherence to customs & import/export requirements
  • Working closely with business partner functions, supporting cross functional requests, internal business projects with trade related aspects
  • Looking for opportunities for continuous improvement of processes to reduce cost and improve efficiency.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, EMEA Trade Operations and is part of the Global Trade Operations Team that sits within Cytiva’s Global Supply Chain and will be an on-site role.

What You Will Do

  • Liaise with Customs brokers and timely address requests
  • Support Cytiva trade team by coordinating import/export process in close cooperation with logistics
  • Perform internal audits of the 3rd party agents' processes that impact compliance activities
  • Monitor broker performance
  • Maintain record keeping

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in international trade, Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline
  • Experience of 3 years of global experience in international trade compliance
  • Solid understanding of the principles of Customs Duty and Trade Compliance as applied both internationally (customs valuation, incoterms, license and permits, country of origin, HTS classifications, duty optimization / Free Trade Agreements etc.)
  • Depth of knowledge of trade compliance issues/opportunities faced by a multinational manufacturing/distribution business with a complex supply chain
  • Proficient in MS Office i.e. Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

  • Willing to travel internationally up to 15% of time
