About Braemar Medical
We are currently partnering with a leading Primary Care client in North Somerset to recruit an experienced Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP). This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a background in Registered Nursing, Paramedic or Advanced Clinical Practice who specialises in minor illness and injuries. While a prescribing qualification is advantageous, it is not required.
Optimal candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a multidisciplinary setting.

- Provide autonomous patient assessments, diagnoses and treatments for minor illness and injuries.
- Conduct detailed histories and clinical assessments to inform care plans.
- Develop and execute evidence-based treatment protocols.
- Demonstrate safe, autonomous clinical judgement.
- Collaborate with GPs, Nurses, Paramedics and Medical Practitioners in a multidisciplinary team.
- Support triage services led by qualified clinicians.
- Manage acute presentations safely and efficiently.
- Maintain thorough EMIS clinical records.
- Adhere to local and national NHS Clinical Practice guidelines.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audits and service improvement initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
