Urgent and Emergency Care Division Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen within the Urgent and Emergency Care division to expand our senior team within the Emergency Department for a fixed term contract/secondment until January 2026.
About the Role
The Emergency Department is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to work alongside the existing Senior Sister and Charge Nurse team.
- Facilitate the day to day management of the department alongside the departmental lead and wider team with a view to leading the team into exciting new times to ensure the highest standards of emergency care for the people who live in our local community.
- Have continuing responsibility for the 24 hour management of the ward and delivery of patient care.
- Have responsibility for the line management of ward based nursing staff e.g. Housekeeper, Ward Clerk.
- Promote continuous development in clinical practice and delivery of patient care, encouraging innovation, improvement and appropriate change in service delivery.
- Manage resources within agreed budget.
- Provide a suitable and stimulating learning environment for students and for the ongoing professional development of registered staff.
- Maintain communication networks at all appropriate clinical and managerial levels.
